Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl (or double boiler)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small spoon or offset spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas not overripe, just firm enough to hold shape
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional, helps with melting chocolate
  • 16 candy eyes
  • 8 popsicle sticks or lollipop sticks

Instructions

  • Prep the Bananas – Peel and cut each banana in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each piece. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 10 minutes (this helps the chocolate set).
  • Melt the Chocolate – In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth. (Or use a double boiler on the stove.)
  • Dip the Bananas – Remove bananas from freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to help coat evenly. Let excess drip off.
  • Add the Eyes – While chocolate is still wet, press two candy eyes near the top of each banana to make a “ghost face.”
  • Set & Serve – Return dipped bananas to parchment-lined tray and chill in fridge or freezer until firm (about 10–15 minutes). Serve right away or keep chilled until party time!
